Another March has come and gone. Here in Yellowknife, that means the Snowkings’ Winter Festival has wrapped up for the year.
Before the iconic Snowcastle – inspired this year by the work of Antoni Gaudi – closed for the season, it formed the backdrop for a magical winter wedding featuring a couple from Boston. Meanwhile, the final evening of the festival saw Reuben and the Dark reunite with Yellowknifer and former bandmate Shea Alain.
Some NWT spring carnivals are just gearing up, with events ranging from fishing derbies to drum dances. We’ll see you at the Yellowknives Dene First Nation Spring Carnival this weekend.
